Spears' marriage subject of countdown clock

Us Weekly has launched a countdown clock on its website, usmagazine.com, which ticks off in real time the number of days, minutes, and even seconds since Britney Spears and her infamous husband Kevin Federline were last seen together in public.

The webpage features a photograph of the notorious couple posing affectionately at a birthday party for Federline on March 25 in Atlanta. As of this writing, that was more than 75 days ago--and the Us Weekly clock keeps ticking away with seemingly no Spederline reunion in sight.

While Federline is reportedly finishing up his debut album, Playing With Fire, his wife has been photographed by the paparazzi numerous times without him. Instead, Spears has been keeping company with her son Sean Preston's male nanny: a hunky, 28-year-old Naval Academy graduate named Perry Taylor. Various gossip outlets--including TMZ, InStyle, MSNBC, and Defamer--have reported that K-Fed is jealous of his new "replacement," but official spokespeople for the Federlines deny that the couple's marriage is in trouble.

And so, the countdown continues...
